Cheese Cutting Board - Why Would Anyone Want One?

To lots of people, buying a cheese cutting board may sound a little ridiculous. Most people currently have a regular cutting board so what do they need one that is specially for cheese?

That is precisely what I thought for years. I have to note that my fiance and I are big cheese eaters, however we were more than comfortable utilizing a regular cutting board and not spending the extra money to buy one that is made for cheese (no matter how cute a Swiss cheese cutting board may look!). It just seemed like a waste of money.

This continued on till approximately 6 months ago when I saw a cheese cutting board for sale at the local grocery store. It was adorable, Swiss cheese holes cut into it, and was extremely cheap. It came with a cheese wire cutter and soft cheese knives.

I have to note, that the combination of the new knives in addition to the wire cutter really helped us cut cheese more quickly and efficiently. We also use the board to serve cheese on and we are constantly getting questioned about it! My family certainly love it.

Overall, I'd absolutely buy another one of these if faced with the opportunity. I cannot believe that we went so many years without one, believing that our normal board would do it fine.
